Here are the New and Exciting Opportunities for Treatment Currently Available at HRI
Osteoarthritis of the Knee
-

Patients must be 18 years of age or older.

Diagnosed with Osteoarthritis of the Knee.

Patient who are unwilling/unable to take non-opiate pain medications (NSAID’s), or have inadequate pain relief from NSAD’s, or are candidates seeking invasive intervention of the knee.

Must be willing to discontinue all pain medications for OA of the knee during trial participation.
-
Able and willing to give written informed consent and comply with the requirements of the study protocol.

Opioid-experienced patients with moderate to severe chronic low back pain
Rheumatoid Arthritis

Patient must be over 18 years of age or older.
-

Diagnosed with moderate to severe active Rheumatoid Arthritis, who have failed MTX therapy and are naïve to RA biologic DMARD therapy.

Patients must have had a confirmed diagnosis of RA for less than 5 years.

Patients must be willing to self-inject the study medication or to have a caregiver do it for them.

Able and willing to give written informed consent and comply with the requirements of the study protocol.

Current Acute Gout Flare
Chronic Low Back Pain

Male and female patients age 18-70.
-
Diagnosed with chronic low back pain for more than 3 months.

Patients must be taking NSAIDs or non-opioid analgesics for at lest 4 weeks and intended to remain on a stable dose of this agents for the duration of the study.

Patients should be able to apply study medication patches at home.
